Thousands of voters across the country have fueled Trump's political campaign. One part because they fear the U.S is under attack, another part because they are dis-chanted with the political establishment. Although Donald Trump has broken conventional political campaigning methods time and time again, his supporters keep coming band. They seem completely unaffected by any of Trump's actions. Not only is his existing following coming back, but his numbers keep growing. Many of his supporters agree Trump's proposal of securing our borders by not letting anymore Muslim immigrants through. One of Donald's supporters said, "Immigration's not a right, it's a privilege." The majority of Trump's supporters say they feel safe is Mr. Trump were president because of his immigration policy plus many other policies he has either introduced or supported.
To me, the fact that Trump's supporters aren't leaving him after what he has done is sort of surprising. I would think that people would open there eyes after all of the things that Donald has said, but so far they are being very resilient. This is not true for just Trump, Hillary is in the same boat. Besides making mistakes time and time again, Clinton's voters keep coming back. I thought Americans would open their eyes and see that Hillary is garbage after the email scandal but just like Trump, her numbers have only grown. It is not surprising to me that Trump has gotten some new loyal voters on his side because of his popularity. Donald Trump started out in a great place in the political race, and all attention was focused on him, many voters became unaware of the other Republican candidates running in the GOP primaries. Since Trump was getting all the attention and news coverage, and no one was voting for anyone else, voters of other GOP candidates shifted their vote from whoever they were previously voting for to Trump because to them it feels like if they voted for anyone other then Trump then they might as well be throwing their vote in the trash. This relates to what we were talking about in class this week because we have been talking about what influences Congressmen. Obviously, Trump is running his campaign in a fashion that keeps a steady following of constituents.
