Jeb Bush's reply to this man was indeed a very smart move. He said virtually the same thing Mitt Romeny said, but with a key difference. Jeb's diction kept him safe, because he stayed away from clearly negative words. When Mitt Romeny said that he would shun voters who wanted "free stuff" he didn't think clearly and carefully about using the word shun. Plus, Romney did not offer and shed of light in what seemed like a terrible future for potential black voters. Jeb Bush saw Romney's mistake, so he decided to take Romeny's opinion, but also put a positive twist on it. This intelligent move may give Jeb a huge lead in the race.

Jeb Bush Brings Hope to Black Voters! Why Diction Matters.
One Thursday, Jeb Bush said he wanted to provide black voters with "hope and aspiration", not "free stuff". A white man from South Carolina was the asker of the question, and Jeb's reply was that his message was that anyone can achieve earned success. This was akin to Mitt Romney's opinion in the 2012 presidential race. Romney was booed of the stage at an N.A.A.C.P conference after he said he would shun any voters who just wanted "free stuff". Because wolf this conference, Mitt Rommey won only 6 percent of the black vote.

Ben Carson Edging Trump
In the recent debate, we definitely saw people that we haven't seen before stand out. Ben Carson has leapfrogged over the competition, and is practically in a tie with Donald Trump. Lots of people are now thinking that Carson is going to be elected for the GOP. Cary Fiorina is now in the third rank, which is a boost from her previous position. Jeb Bush is holding on to the fourth position.
It is no surprise that Carly has jumped forward on the polls. She definitely won in the debate, and that contributed to her sudden popularity. Ben Carsons tie with Donald Trump is not as surprising as the fact that Donald is still that high up in the polls. Donald Trump did not say much in the debate. It is safe to say he lost it because even when he did say stuff, it was generally either blunt or ignorant (especially his comment about Putin).
This relates to what we are talking about in class because we had to discuss the debate. One girl talked about how Carly Fiorina won the debate because of how she talked. Another kid talked about how Donald Trump won the debate because he talked the most. Just because you talk a lot, doesn't necessary determine your success. It is a quality versus quantity deal. Most if not all the time, quality trumps quality.

Clinton Losses Lead?! A Guide to Winning Voters
The 2016 presidential debate has been a really close race thus far. Hillary Clinton has definitely been a strong competition against the other candidates, but a new poll may tell otherwise. In the state of Iowa, a recent poll shows that Hillary has fallen ten points behind Bernie Sander. This means that Clinton's lead with women is no match with the other male candidates. This is a shocking fact for a women who is very popular on social media services such as Twitter and Vine. What could have caused this sudden drop in voters? The answer may lie in this past summer.
In the summer of 2015, Hillary was discovered personally paying a State Department official to maintain Hillary's personal server outside her government duties. She then proceeded to generate classified emails, and was later discovered. This caused a lot of distrust between Hillary and her voters.
In order for a governmental system to work, there needs to be a system of trust between the president and the people. If Hillary cannot re-establish her loyalties with her voters, she could seriously risk her campaign. Clinton needs to learn that her voters matter, and if they aren't receiving information that matters to them, they might go to someone who will.
